Green Satoshi Token (GST) serves as the in-game currency for STEPN, a Web 3.0 lifestyle app that blends fitness, social interaction, and gamification. In this innovative move-to-earn NFT game, players earn GST tokens by engaging in outdoor activities like walking, jogging, and running while wearing NFT Sneakers. The project's core aim is to promote a healthy lifestyle worldwide while familiarizing users with the concepts of Web 3.0. Powered by Solana (SOL), STEPN operates on a dual-token system where GST is the game currency and Green Metaverse Token (GMT) is the governance token.
To join the community, users download the STEPN app, register, and create a wallet. They then deposit SOL tokens into the STEPN wallet, purchase NFT sneakers from the Marketplace, and wait for their "energy" to replenish (energy reflects user activity and recovers at a rate of 25% every 6 hours).
Founders and Development
STEPN was founded in August 2021 by fintech studio Find Satoshi Lab, based in Australia. The core team was established in September of the same year, and in October, the project achieved success by winning the Solana Ignition Hackathon Gaming Track 2021.
Key Figures
