Coinbase updated its Advanced fee schedule on September 16, 2026, with different base rates by region. For US customers, Advanced trading starts at 0.50% maker and 0.90% taker; customers in the EU, the UK and other international markets have lower base rates and the first volume tier now starts at $10,000. The simple buy and sell flow adds a spread, which Coinbase says is usually about 0.50% and can change with market conditions, plus a fee, so it often costs much more than Advanced trading.
