Bitfinex is a veteran CEX with excellent liquidity and pro tools, but it has persistent red flags: low 2.0/5 Trustpilot, frequent account freezes, slow KYC/withdrawal issues, and poor support. Strong for advanced traders testing small amounts only. Bitfinex is one of the legacy exchanges in the crypto space and was an early adopter of Tether (USDT). They did have that major breach back in 2016 where around 120K BTC was stolen, which is still something people remember. Their website UI feels pretty old school, and the trading interface is the same vibe. I signed up in 2022 but haven’t used it that frequently, just on and off. The app UI is basically the same as the website too, so overall it works, but it definitely feels a bit outdated.

(ps by using his connection Brock Pierce -who visited the island-) they also invested and had close connections with Coinbase, Blockckstream and a couple of other blockchain/exchange initiatives only advantage of bitfinex right now is cheap fees, but price is your soul & security

if you're into tokenized assets or high-volume spots. It's not beginner-friendly complex interface, strict compliance, and the controversial past like hack + regulatory fines understandably turns some users off, plus their support system can lag.

Bitfinex is owned by same people who owns Tether (who prints USDT) they offerone of the worst UI/UX and trading experience, despite being the oldest. maker fees are 0.1 and taker 0.2 on most major pairs. deposit withdrawal speeds are average. strong reserves but somehow shallow orderbook. I guess people don't trade here as much because they don't give importance to marketing, bd, I doubt new crypto users know Bitfinex
