      I have seen bad exchanges at attending customer complaints, but Bitrue is way worse 379 reviews (complaints) on Trustpilot with a score of 1.5 out of 5 which is well below the average. https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.bitrue.com so support and security scores are down. these horror stories are common enough to warrant DYOR and considering alternatives for high-value trading.

      2025-2026 users cries of unjust account locks, profit deductions labeled "arbitrage abuse," frozen funds during "security reviews," and support ghosting feels like they let you win small but you withdrawing big wins becomes a problem.

      Good UI & low fees but what??? I see partial complaints about price gaps, no live support and email responses delay sometimes you may even wait for a week, in facts (Bad support). Withdrawal Issues is common to most exchanges those days. Stay safe.

      Bitrue was founded in 2018, headquartered in Costa Rica. Lists 1,291 markets. Known for XRP-focused trading pairs and its Power Piggy earn product (daily interest). Suspended US services in April 2023. Mandatory KYC for all users since June 2023.

      Security Track Record

      Hacked twice. June 2019: $4.2 million in XRP and ADA stolen via system vulnerability. April 2023: $23 million stolen from a hot wallet in ETH, QNT, GALA, SHIB, HOT and MATIC (CryptoNinjas: Bitrue Review). Bitrue stated the hot wallet held only ~5% of total funds. Both times, reimbursement was promised and security was upgraded.

      Auditors in our community give Bitrue a score of 10.88 across 5 reviews. Two hacks in four years is a pattern. The exchange has improved security since, but the repeated breaches weigh heavily on the trust assessment.

      Bitrue Fees & Fee Structure

      Flat fee model: 0.28% maker, 0.28% taker for most pairs. BTR token provides 20% discount. Futures: 0.02% maker, 0.06% taker. Simpler than tiered maker-taker models.

      Staking & Earn Products

      Power Piggy pays daily interest on deposited crypto, a genuine differentiator vs platforms paying weekly or monthly. Staking, launchpad and yield farming also available. Above-average earn range for an exchange of this size.

      Trading Experience & Platform Features

      Spot, futures (150x) and margin trading. Clean interface, good mobile app. Liquidity adequate on major pairs but thin across much of the 1,291 listed markets. XRP community gives Bitrue a niche identity. Customer support reviews are mixed.
