Bitrue is an exchange known for XRP-focused trading pairs and its Power Piggy earn product. It does not serve US users and its record includes hacks in 2019 and 2023.

Bitrue was founded in 2018 by Curis Wang, who also leads the company as CEO. Its native token, BTR, gives fee discounts. Bitrue stopped serving US users in April 2023 and has required KYC for all users since June 2023.

Bitrue has been hacked twice. In June 2019, about $4.2 million in XRP and ADA was stolen through a system vulnerability. In April 2023, about $23 million in ETH, QNT, GALA, SHIB, HOT and MATIC was taken from a hot wallet (CryptoNinjas: Bitrue Review). Bitrue said the hot wallet held only about 5% of total funds and promised to reimburse affected users in both cases.

Power Piggy pays interest daily on deposited crypto, while many platforms pay weekly or monthly. Bitrue also offers staking, launchpad events and yield farming, with many products aimed at XRP holders. Rates, lock-up terms and eligible assets change often, so the current terms are on Bitrue's Earn pages.
