CateCoin (CATE) Review: OG Score & Community Audit

This token falls into the highly speculative meme Coin category, though it attempts to mix meme culture with utility functions like content creation rewards and NFTs but declining price and lack of organic community is biggest problem with the token.
It was launched in 2021 this token became recognized as one of the original cat themed alternatives to the massive dog meme market like Dogecoin and Shiba Inu while project claims Elon musk as CEO but in reality he has nothing to do with the token or project it's a community driven meme coin.
The good thing token has is token smart contract includes a burning mechanism that permanently deletes 1% of the token supply from circulation during transactions to reduce the overall supply over time but the supply huge and burning alone can't pump price while the traders are leaving token and volume is drying up.

The price was not my main focus, i wanted to understand what keeps demand going once the early excitement starts to fade, that usually says more about a token than a few green candles ever could,  most of the buying still seems to come from market attention rather than people using the token on a regular basis, during strong meme runs, trading activity can stay busy even if the holder base changes very little, once the excitement cools, that activity often fades because there are fewer reasons for people to keep coming back, Current market data, trading volume and exchange listings.
I also looked at how the holder count has been changing over time, when trading volume stays active but the number of holders barely grows, it can mean the same traders are rotating capital instead of new buyers entering the market, that's an important difference because steady holder growth usually gives the market a stronger base, holder distribution and onchain data:

You cannot separate a project's marketing narrative from the reality of its onchain value. The data proves that Catecoin's staking engine has completely collapsed, losing over 99% of its historical TVL. Worse, the underlying tokenomics are completely broken, the top ten wallets command over 80% of the supply, a single wallet owns 62%, and the contract features predatory backdoors that allow for arbitrary minting and direct wallet balance manipulation. No amount of internet culture or legacy nostalgia can justify putting capital into a contract that allows an administrator to alter wallet balances.

The $CATE cat just feels like a joke gone stale now. Promises flying everywhere but nothing sticks or grows. I get why folks got excited at first, yet the vibe screams disappointment loud and clear. I'd warn everyone: this meme has no legs left. Run...
