LocalCoinSwap (LCS) Review: OG Score & Community Audit

The buyback story needs to be separated into history and present reality. LocalCoinSwap genuinely burned 1.55M LCS through its first five documented burns, and the approved model allocated 20% of platform exchange fees toward buybacks. That is real value capture, not invented token utility which we will all agree towards nonetheless. 
But there's something about the burn that I'm finding confusing and not really tallying regarding evidence proof. As there's just a single verifiable burn evidence I found from 2019–2020. The current website still advertises buybacks, yet I could not establish a similarly clear 2025–2026 burn trail. 
There is also an uncomfortable data quality issue: Etherscan, CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap currently report materially different supply figures. Add the lack of a submitted smart-contract audit and stale public GitHub activity, and LCS becomes difficult to underwrite confidently. Just too much story not filling up at all or merging the surface story. 

The trading volume has almost completely died out. With only a couple thousand dollars worth of the coin being bought or sold globally each day, it is effectively a financial ghost town. If you buy this token, it could be incredibly difficult to sell it later because there are almost no active buyers on the exchanges

LocalCoinSwap is a Technical Ghost Town. The stalled GitHub activity(no updates since 2024) proves the project is no longer being developed. Combined with the non existence token volume and reports of unresponsive support, the platform is a high risk zone for losing funds to scams.

The biggest loophole that really kills any trust for me is how this ancient 2018 LCS contract never renounced ownership, so one wallet can still schedule derivative token drops and distributions whenever they want.
