The real Shardeum is a legitimate network, but the official Token Generation Event has not occurred. The token on the scanner is a malicious imposter. The official SHM tokenomics explicitly cap the supply at 508 Million. The scanner clearly shows this fake contract has an INFINITE maximum supply, meaning the scammer can mint new tokens endlessly. The $540K in daily volume is pure wash-trading—bots swapping the same tokens back and forth to artificially rank on DEX screeners and bait uneducated liquidity.

For layer 1 project this doesn't fit correct on SHM as increase of supply from 200m to 60b, Market cap is way less than the Fully diluted volume. Most of trade is on centralized exchange and dex minimum liquidity. It doesn't have great Dapps now focused on Nft, declining of price and volatility raised concerns in community, It also feels like soft rug as investors are favored and community needs clear communication regarding development. Most of the Dapps doesn't even work correctly and development is very poor, looks like token can lose complete value as more supply will released, overall Risky investment.

I couldn’t find any dApps where we can actually trade SHM and I suspect liquidity on DEXs is really low or basically nonexistent. The token was redenominated last year, increasing from 249 million to 60 billion in total supply. On Discord, people have been calling it a “dead chain” for months. There’s barely any activity on the blockchain itself, many of the listed dApps don’t work and their GitHub shows very little developer activity. The tokenomics clearly favor early investors and while staking and ecosystem rewards exist for active participants, they are likely insufficient. In the end, the model’s success hinges entirely on real adoption, functional dApps, and strong developer engagement, making SHM’s long-term value highly dependent on actual usage.
