      The icon project is shutting down and migrating will convert all ICX into 1:1 ratio SODA tokens, while the icx token price is already at all time low and a brand change name can also affect value, it's changing into soda because the developers decided that building a standalone layer 1 blockchain the old ICON network is no longer the best strategy they are shifting their focus entirely to a new, modern cross chain protocol called SODAX.
      If user won't swap manually into SODA before deadline the ICX tokens will become completely worthless and will be lost, in march 26, 2026 the ICON network stopped producing new tokens staking rewards were completely turned off the network is currently running only to allow people to move their funds out so currently buying this is at current moment is risky.

      $ICX hits different after the migration. Holders moved to soda via @gosodax and the ICON chain got parked in maintenance with no rewards or life left. The creators basically admitted defeat and bailed on their baby. Leaves a sour taste why even hold something the team already quit on? Skip it.

      I respect them for surviving multiple cycles and shipping real cross-chain infrastructure with solid developer tools. The team's execution is trustworthy, not gonna lie. They are in the process of migrating to new tokens (SODA and SODAX) and this can create real short-term tokenomics uncertainty and value-capture risks for ICX holders right now.
