The icon project is shutting down and migrating will convert all ICX into 1:1 ratio SODA tokens, while the icx token price is already at all time low and a brand change name can also affect value, it's changing into soda because the developers decided that building a standalone layer 1 blockchain the old ICON network is no longer the best strategy they are shifting their focus entirely to a new, modern cross chain protocol called SODAX.
