Because they own the actual blockchain network the MVRK token is used to pay for network gas fees It has a real, built in task to keep the system moving, also raised over $15 million from big private investment firms to build out their network.
Despite strong innovation and tech the token is 96% down from all time high and still facing decline in market, Out of the 1 billion tokens only about 5% are actually out in the market, the other 95% are locked up and waiting to be released later when those massive batches of locked tokens unlock, it will heavily dilute the market and push the price down.
