StorX (SRX) Review: OG Score & Community Audit

StorX is cloud storage project but instead of keeping user data on centralized server it splits into pieces and by encrypting it makes only accessable to user who owns decryption keys meaning a decentralized cloud storage platform.
The whole decentralized cloud storage niche is struggling badly to sustain value in market, many projects already trading below average prices and same happened to StorX price is 98% down from highest $4 and at current condition the recovery seems unlikely to happen, while team has some tokens to reward users but at some point the tokens will run out and team will need to mint more tokens to reward community which can create token value dilution risk.

StorX has a serious documentation problem that should not be ignored. The network reports 117,066+ users, 4,046+ storage providers, 2,500+ nodes and 5+ PB of deployed storage, and unlike many projects, SRX has genuine utility: customers can pay for storage with SRX while storage operators must stake SRX and receive SRX-based rewards. The reward system has also been adjusted, with hosting rewards reduced by 5% every three months, which should gradually reduce emission pressure.
But the tokenomics evidence is messy. StorX's current token page says 500M total supply, while CoinMarketCap reports 834M circulating, 977M total and 1.5B maximum, and CoinGecko and OGAudit reports 610M circulating and 1.5B maximum. That is a major transparency failure because supply determines market capitalization, dilution and ultimately whether the token is fairly valued. The older whitepaper makes the situation even more confusing by describing an uncapped supply with Proof of Burn. 
The other concern is that the project's reported network growth hasn't translated into strong token performance: SRX remains approximately 98.9% below its $4.69 ATH. That doesn't prove the project is failing for now, but it tells us that network adoption and token economics have not yet translated into sustained market confidence and that is really something to be disturbing.

its a complete ghost town right now.. post bearly get to 1k and there hasnt been an important update for months. also the people running the computers (miners) are getting paid 5% less every few months, which makes them a bit grumpy. StorX smells like old drama dressed up as DePIN. Back in the day the team axed a mountain of nodes, vanished, let the community bleed anger for years. Now they’re chatty and transparent, but I still taste the betrayal in every post. Tech’s fine, trust is gone. Not touching this one.

Stor network is a technical success that has become a financial ghost. While the staking features are clever and the code is solid, the lack of real users and the massive price drop are giant red flags. I feel like it’s a project from a past era that is been left behind. I wouldn’t put anything in here that i wasn’t 100% prepared to loose

SRX Institutional custody step and enterprise hints give it quiet real-world traction in DePIN storage, but niche adoption and price stagnation temper the upside spark.
