Figure (FIGR_HELOC) is the global leader in RWA tokenization, boasting $21B+ in on chain originations and a Nasdaq listing. Its AAA rated securitizations provide unmatched institutional credibility. However, a significant 2025 data breach and high 4.99% origination fees are major drawbacks for retail users. While it carries "centralization" risks via its control over Provenance, its utility and regulatory standing are top-tier. I love it for its massive scale and legitimacy.

This is a Safety Play. It’s where you put money if you want it to grow slowly (via yield) without the risk of it disappearing overnight. It is safe in the sense that it's backed by US real estate and a multi-billion dollar public company,

Based on my research, It come from a real home equity lending business that has put part of it's operation on-chain, showing real world use. From what I can see, the FIGR HELOC is still small, with low liquidity and unclear direct benefits so it carries early stage and regulatory risk.

Agreed with what all said by other OGs review and I'm with them on Figure, but as far as my concerns, history is something internet never forgets, the history behind the team of Figure HELOC (former project; SoFi) is something worth watching. (Offences like allegations of toxic work environment, sexual misconduct & related controversies). No Fraud Allegations, but Figure has operated cleanly since 2018 with strong growth and no issues. But there's leadership risks.

In my view, a project like Figure is rare because it is tied to a lender that’s already originated billions in HELOC loans and even moved its settlement and registry on-chain through Provenance, which is real-world adoption most token projects can’t come close to. The issue is $FIGR_HELOC has very thin liquidity and its actual utility isn’t clear, so it feels much less proven than the strong lending business behind it.

If you frequently use TradFi, you'll know itvis painfully slow and could take 30 days to process a loan, which is absolute crap in 2025. Figure Technologies is basically fixing that by moving the whole $29T home equity market onto the Provenance Blockchain. They aren't just hyping it; they automated everything from AI valuation to the actual trading on Figure Markets. We're talking compressing a month-long headache into just a few days. It feels a bit centralized, yeah, but the efficiency is insane.

It offers a real-world application of blockchain for financial services, reducing inefficiencies in the mortgage process. I mean, it'll be exciting to see where it goes, but adoption is heavily tied to increasing confidence in blockchain-powered financial tools
