GENIUS AI (GNUS) Review: OG Score & Community Audit

Back in May 2024, GNUS suffered a massive bridge exploit where a hacker minted 100 million fake tokens and drained $1.27 million straight out of their liquidity pools, forcing a contract migration. Because of that history, top-tier centralized exchanges stayed away, leaving the token stranded on shallow DEX pools. When order-book depth is paper-thin, just one or two large wallets dumping their bags will slice the chart in half. Respect the mobile-GPU concept, but id just stay far away from catching falling knives on illiquid DEX charts until real commercial burn volume and deep market-maker liquidity arrive.

GNUS.ai’s biggest risk is the gap between its AI-compute ambitions and what is publicly live. Its October 8 status update confirms the native SuperGenius mainnet remains unlaunched, despite the original Q2 2026 target passing. No revised launch date has been announced.
The token already exists across EVM networks, but that does not prove real demand for compute or a functioning public network. The official docs also say the public GNUS/SGNUS bridge is not live. Contract-level burns and bridge burns should not be mistaken for guaranteed supply reduction or token value accrual.
Until public workloads, measurable usage and independent production-level security evidence are available, GNUS remains a speculative bet on execution rather than proven AI infrastructure.

The GNUS token is heavily integrated in GENIUS ecosystem it's used as payment for computing power on network everytime when tokens are used for computing payouts 10% supply gets permanently burned decreasing supply but it completely depends on usage the higher usage means more tokens burned, instead of sending data to a centralized server all ai training happens on local distributed devices which means prioritizing decentralization.
The public main net is not live yet means only token exist without any proved utility and strong ecosystem, out of 50 million supply 75% is not in circulation yet means a large portion is scheduled for unlocking later and without strong use case it can crash and lose momentum also conversion fees 3.5% and 10% platform commission plus burn means selling is expensive and it's built for holding basically it's a legit project but the core function is not fully live yet means buying token is risk without fully active utilities.

This is a case where the technology story is currently much bigger than the economic evidence. I actually like the basic idea: instead of building another expensive GPU marketplace, Genius AI wants to turn the idle compute sitting inside ordinary devices into a distributed AI network. That is differentiated, and the project is still writing code rather than simply recycling an old whitepaper. But the investors ultimately need to value the live compute economy which is a mere vision is not there yet.
The current website itself says mainnet is not live, while CoinGecko shows roughly $23.5M market cap against only about $1K of daily trading volume. The 2024 $1.27M security incident and the confusing supply presentation add another layer of risk. So I would call it an unfinished bet whose token valuation is arriving before the underlying compute economy has proven itself and at times the proves is what matters.

Honestly, the FUD around $GNUS is hilarious.
