Bellscoin was launched week before Dogecoin, token was designed as a fun joke based on the video game Animal Crossing naming the crypto after the game's currency Bells, but after launching it in 2013 the internet shifted interest from Bellscoin to doge and the network completely went offline, Billy Markus abandoned it and moved on to launch Dogecoin, which became a multi billion dollar meme coin.
In 2023 a group of crypto miners and developers found the old 2013 code, they rebooted up the servers  and revived the original Bellscoin blockchain from being a dead chain, but after the its 2023 launch hype the coin became highly volatile one BELLS token traded at an all time high of $3.74 but the token has suffered a massive 98% price crash trading at  $0.05 which is significantly big crash.
Just like Dogecoin the Bellscoin has no major and strong tech utility. It doesn't run smart contracts, Its value relies on meme culture, internet hype, and whether someone buy it, even project was relaunched in 2023 the original onwer have nothing to do with it mean zero part of billy is involved in bellscoin it's completely operated by group of miners butt there is no strong ecosystem behind the token which can keep it valuable for long term.
 

Bellscoin's biggest selling point is its history. It traces its roots back to 2013 and is tied to ideas from early crypto culture, giving it a nostalgic appeal that few newer projects can match. The problem is that nostalgia alone rarely creates lasting demand.

That creates an unusual setup, network survival is not the biggest question, market participation is ,if interest drops sharply, liquidity could disappear long before the network faces any real pressure the chain can survive without investors, the market cannot.

Bellscoin ($BELLS) was resurrected fair-launch style in late 2023 by community devs after a decade dormant. Worth watching closely.

The $83K volume proves there is still a small group of people interested, but the 2% volume to MC ratio and the dead GitHub prove almost nobody is actually trading the coin.The lack of GitHub activity in 2026 is the biggest warning. Regardless of how active the community abd team might look, you just know from the x that it has paid shillers trying to push a narrative that doesn't exist which the claim to, from they post you see Reoccurring numbers of like and comment, for now I'll just watch from sidelines ...
