However, the current "Bearish" community sentiment stems from forced airdrop staking and a looming 82% supply unlock. It is a solid long term bet currently facing a toxic short-term unlock schedule.

ETHGas is trying to turn Ethereum blockspace into a tradable asset, super innovative but also pretty complex and still unproven. The $GWEI token is mainly for governance via veGWEI, so there is no real revenue share or guaranteed returns, its value depends entirely on adoption and how active the governance ends up being. Tokenomics wise, a big chunk of the 10B supply goes to the ecosystem, team, and investors with long vesting, while community airdrops are relatively small. They leaned heavily on the community for pre launch hype, but then mainly rewarded high gas spenders, which felt a bit selective. I feel something is off with ETHGas. Normal users put in time and effort into activities hoping for good results. Many got left out and felt ignored completely. It has credible people behind the project. But this situation hurt the good energy fast.
