Viction (VIC) Review: OG Score & Community Audit

Layer 1s are known to have a long lifespan, but they also lose relevance, especially with the lack of ecosystem products that hold value. With TVL around $300,000, Viction is already tolling this path and could be the next ghost L1. It already has a reputation for tinkering with the system (previously launched as Tomochain, then executed a proposal that doubled its supply). Too unstable for an L1. VIC is a centralized value trap. It passes the Expertise pillar with Zero-gas tech but fails Sovereihnty due to its hardcoded asset freezing code. The passage of VIP#1 has doubled the token suplly from (100M to 210M VIC), leading to a termina lprice collapse to $0.04 (ATL). Viction is a token trying hard to survive with a huge token overhaul. Big issues to know: Massive dilution: The Viction Improvement Proposal #1 (VIP#1) will raise total coins from 100M to 210M. This makes Viction high-risk. It’s a project in crisis, potentially profitable for speculators but very dangerous for long-term holders.

Viction (formerly TomoChain) markets itself as an EVM compatible layer 1 with zero gas transactions and enhanced security, aiming to make Web3 easy and safe for everyone. However, my actual experience was very different from what is promised. I once bridged some ETH to Viction using a Hyperlane powered bridge. After the transfer, I tried to swap the ETH, but there was no liquidity available. Since swapping was not possible, I attempted to bridge the funds back, but the required fees were higher than the amount I had bridged. I explored almost every dApp in the Viction ecosystem, hoping to find a workaround, but nothing helped. My ETH was essentially stuck on the network. According to the data from DeFiLlama shows that Viction has well under $1 million in total value locked (TVL), For a Layer 1 blockchain, this level of liquidity is extremely low and explains the lack of usable DeFi infrastructure. Overall, the experience was frustrating and highlighted a significant gap between the platform’s claims and the actual user experience, especially in terms of liquidity and ecosystem maturity

I had some hope left for $VIC until they ignored everyone and flooded the market with extra tokens. Bags got diluted bad and trust disappeared overnight. Now the community is just angry and done. Total letdown.

Viction, formerly known as TomoChain, making it volatile if bigger L1s copy the model. If you're eyeing staking or building simple dApps, it's a genuine low barrier entry point, but I'd watch TVL on Dune for proof of sticking power stagnation there could mean it's overlooked in a crowded space.
