Proof of reserves only really works when it’s frequent, verifiable and includes liabilities, so going years without updates makes it difficult to assess whether user funds are still properly backed. When you combine that with on-chain analysis from platforms like Arkham Intel and Nansen, the risk becomes more obvious, as their identified reserves appear to be extremely concentrated, with around 99% held in their own WBT token and only a very small portion in assets like BTC. That kind of structure is risky because, in a real stress situation where users rush to withdraw funds, the exchange would need highly liquid assets, not its own token, which could be difficult to sell without crashing its price.
