Polygon is an impressive, highly utilized public utility that fails to deliver value to its token holders. With $3.12 billion in stablecoins and nearly 500,000 daily active addresses, the chain clearly gets used. However, because daily chain revenue ($70k) is dwarfed by daily app fees ($1.35M) and eaten alive by perpetual 2% annual token inflation (200M $POL/year), buying $POL means holding an asset where the network's success does not translate into token appreciation.Furthermore, a look at Polygon’s primary GitHub organization visualizes years of pivot debt, archived smart contract repositories, frozen Supernet code bases, and scattered infrastructure.

Polygon handle the MATIC to POL switch smoothly, showing strong execution, still it has experience and a strong foundation, but staying relevant in a crowded EVM space will depend on turning smooth upgrades in to real lasting demand.

I'm not sure why these guys keep rebranding, makes it look like something is wrong. Polygon- Matic - Now Pol they decided to move on with. however the transition was seamless that's good Polygon, Matic ecosystem is one of the oldest EVM ecosystems have been around, it first emerged as a Clone of Ethereum network. They are doing good so far but they will be needing more to put on the table to attract more attention since most of the old investros RIP now.

Polygon's MATIC-to-POL migration handled billions flawlessly, no exploits, pure execution. It's now the backbone for Ethereum payments and RWAs, but the new inflationary emissions could quietly eat into holder value if adoption doesn't keep pace

POL’s rebranding from MATIC is bold, and I gotta admit, they’re handling it pretty well. Between their Layer 2 dominance and grand ambitions for multi-chain interoperability, they’re staying a top-tier player. Just hope the name switch doesn't confuse folks too much.
