Saga (SAGA) Review: OG Score & Community Audit

So basically the company has sold off entire cryptocurrency vision and moved fully toward building AI powered digital characters and consumer platforms the blockchain is no longer the company's core focus or priority while this seems like a breakthrough in tech but the orignal community which was interacting due to old technology will move away to other platforms.
The shift in vision also has affected price negativity it's already 99% down from ATH, while tech is functional the product has failed to attract expected developer and user base.
The project is risky as the orignal team who built saga now completely shifted their focus on new idea which can affect new product's growth and the timing is a serious red flag the company is abandoning its crypto focus at the exact moment the token has already lost nearly all its value this is not a good idea to invest money while team's decisions can change orignal product completely.

Saga has a genuinely interesting idea: developers can launch dedicated Chainlets without having to build an entire blockchain from scratch. The problem is whether enough developers will actually pay to keep those chains running once grants and incentives disappear. The model depends heavily on Web3 games producing real users and revenue, and that is still far from proven. If Chainlets don't generate sustained activity, the developer-pays model becomes difficult to justify.
There is also a meaningful security and infrastructure risk. Saga's ecosystem isn't just one blockchain anymore; it involves the main network, Chainlets, bridges and different execution environments. The reported $7M SagaEVM exploit shows how that complexity can introduce vulnerabilities outside the core chain itself. At the same time, running and securing a growing number of Chainlets can increase validator hardware requirements, potentially pushing smaller operators out and concentrating infrastructure among larger providers.
The token also faces constant supply pressure from contributor, investor and ecosystem allocations, while validator rewards add further emissions. That wouldn't necessarily be a problem if network usage were growing fast enough to absorb them, but Saga still has to prove that its large gaming-focused ecosystem can retain users after incentives and airdrops disappear.
One thing I'd also keep an eye on is the community itself. Saga has historically generated plenty of attention through campaigns and airdrops, but that doesn't automatically translate into long-term users. If social activity, Chainlet usage and gaming DAUs continue falling after incentives end, it would reinforce the concern that much of the earlier traction was incentive-driven.

Saga is for gaming and consumer use cases. The concept is strong and aligns well with the modular blockchain trend. Though, the current reality shows that on-chain activities is still very low to minimal, and the ecosystem has not yet reached meaningful scale. It’s rare to see a project with $11M in Tier-1 backing show a $0 TVL. When I look at $SAGA data on Defillama, I see a frozen ecosystem. The high trading volume compared to a $7M market cap is usually a sign of extreme speculative volatility or bots fighting over the remains of a crash.
