XYO Network (XYO) Review: OG Score & Community Audit

This project has been building since 2018, has accumulated a reported 10M+ node installs across 150+ countries, and claims more than $10M paid to network contributors. More importantly, XYO is no longer relying exclusively on its old geolocation/COIN narrative. The launch of XYO Layer One creates a much more ambitious infrastructure thesis.
However, the scale and economic capture are still not the same thing. XYO can show millions of installs, but it doesn't give us an equally clean, independently checkable figure for how many nodes are currently active or how much current revenue the network generates. The new token model also needs careful interpretation. XYO is the security/staking asset, while XL1 is the gas/activity asset; XL1's base transaction fees are burned, not XYO. Therefore, increased network activity does not automatically create direct XYO scarcity.
The bad news is that XYO remains around 96.3% below its ATH as you can see on the token chart above, meaning the market has already heavily discounted its historical network achievements💔💔.

The migration to their own Layer One blockchain in late 2025 was a huge flex. They introduced a dual-token model where you stake XYO to earn XL1, which is used for network gas. This immediately creates utility and takes XYO off the open market. In May 2026, they took this a step further by launching an AI SDK that lets developers build applications on their network just by talking to AI models like Claude. Infact, the best feature of this asset is the tokenomics. With roughly 13.93 billion tokens in total, and practically all of them are already in circulation. I shouldn't worry about unlocks and dumps every month. If they can successfully drive developers to use their new AI tools, the fixed supply combined with the staking mechanics creates an incredibly strong environment for price appreciation.

XYO built on unique idea it works as a decentralized version of a location tracer it is like a trust system that can verify a delivery truck, package, or device was actually where it claimed to, using a decentralized network instead of trusting one single company service.
The project is expanding and launched their own block chain called XYO layer 1 which is still a smaller block chain compared to present established block chains, while it has working tech the actual community is much smaller and mostly people go for well known location tracing services than a block chain based one as most of user doesn't understand block chain based tools.

XYO lets you earn crypto by sharing your location while you drive. It is a real company that has been around for years, and they actually pay you. The problem here is to make real money, you have to pay a $35 monthly fee. If you don't drive for a living (like a truck driver), you will probably spend more on the fee than you make in crypto. Also, keeping the app open all day will ruin your phone's battery and screen. It’s a Slow Grind, it’s honest, but it’s mostly just pocket change that might cost you a new phone in the long run.

No audit and owner privileges still active on XYO? That’s the first thing that hits me wrong , feels risky as hell. Real tech side and SEC regulatory background give it some backbone, sure. But community’s split: app users hyped on payouts, others screaming rigged prizes. Foundations look decent yet that security cloud keeps everything feeling shaky and behind.

XYO is the OG of real world data. Having a massive user base and a smart move into AI, which makes it a legitimate powerhouse. Although the subscription fees and endless coin supply are valid complaints, its survival and scale are incredible

XYO is finally shedding its old skin for something bigger. I'm loving their partnership for IP ownership with BeatSwap, and they have a dual token tweaks incoming for 2026. it is one of the more established DePIN plays that's actually delivering metrics over hype.
