Protocol-first building on Sui real TVL, real users, and real institutional capital were there before a single token ever traded. It’s also the chain’s leading DEX by TVL, backed by institutions and running a ve(3,3) model with active buybacks, so on the fundamentals side, things hold up. Where it gets tricky is the supply structure. About 79% of the supply is still unvested, with investor and team unlocks stretching into 2027. The token is already down roughly 97% from its ATH while operating on a relatively thin float, meaning every new unlock hits harder. We’ve seen this exact pattern play out before with Curve DAO Token and its prolonged unlock pressure. This is a conviction play, not something you rush into for quick flips. The fundamentals are there, but the timing comes down to how well the market absorbs those upcoming cliffs.

Tech-wise, it’s actually solid. Before the TGE, TVL was surging past $1B and it became the biggest DEX on Sui, so the product clearly had strong traction. The problem was the token launch. Partial claims created artificial scarcity and hype pushing the price above $4 on some exchanges but it didn’t hold. The token dumped around 80% quickly even before most users could claim while presale participants on Buidlpad still secured around 2–3x depending on their FDV tier. On the tokenomics side, MMT looks community-friendly at first, but over time it leans toward larger holders since power comes from locking. The revenue-sharing model is solid, with fees and incentives going to long-term lockers, but it only works if the platform maintains strong trading volume. After the TGE, the hype faded, TVL dropped significantly, and the price followed. At this point, it feels like just another DEX token, with long-term success depending on whether it can sustain real usage and stay competitive within the Sui ecosystem.

Their CLMM pulled in a massive $159M TVL and $7B volume before it even fully launched, which is huge news for the ecosystem! But the token launch was super sus. That tiny 1.5% initial float let whales pump it to a crazy $3.98 ATH. Soon after, it took a brutal 92% crash down to $0.30. Honestly, it looks less like a smooth rollout and more like a big liquidity trap for early buyers.
