Ronin (RON) Review: OG Score & Community Audit

Ronin's annual token inflation went from over 20% to below 1% with the May migration (CoinMarketCap)  that's not a marginal fix, that's a structural reset. Combined with marketplace fees increasing from 0.5% to 1.25% and EigenDA data availability, the tokenomics are now among the cleaner setups in gaming blockchains. The honest question is whether 1.2M daily users generating low-value in-game transactions at near-zero fees creates enough protocol revenue to justify the re-rating the valuation gap implies. Gaming blockchains live and die by their flagship title. Ronin's flagship is in terminal decline. The next chapter needs a new game, not a new consensus mechanism.

Ronin is caught in a high stakes race against its own onchain decay. The technical migration to an Ethereum Layer 2 is a massive structural praise, it fixed their historical security vulnerabilities and engineered a powerful deflationary supply shock.

Ronin has taken a massive step by moving to ETH from It's native chain which improved security and network stability, but This big migration didn't had any affect on improving the price, price is already 97% down from it's ATH. Now on Eth chain while security and stability is improved the gas fee is also increased which became much expensive, so when user buy or sell in game item it would charge more gas fee than total worth of item, community and trader are playing games in ecosystem but seems not interested buying the token. Twitter is active and team is posting update on development and games, but comment mostly are bots and token shilling, it shows that it's losing community interest. Ronin is strong tech gaming Project but team should focus on improving core token which is losing market value, if gaming hype reduces it directly impact on Ronin ecosystem as it depend on Web3 gaming niche and hype.

Look, Ronin has some clean history backing it up it's a real survivor with actual traction from Pixels and Axie, not just empty hype, the current upgrade to an OP Stack L2 that drops inflation under 1% also genuinely cleans up the supply side. But the active user numbers show a massive cooldown, monthly active addresses are down to around 133K, meaning daily activity is way lower than its past highs. Almost the whole network still depends on just those few games. This niche dominance is a big risk if those main games can't bring in new users. Just like other gaming ecosystem tokens, RON also use for gas fees, staking and basically everything happening on the network, especially in games..Large chunk of the supply goes to the team, which raises some centralization concerns and possible sell pressure down the line. There’s also ongoing inflation from staking rewards, which can slowly dilute holders who aren’t staking. RON is really only worth holding if you believe the gaming narrative will make a strong comeback on the Ronin ecosystem and that people will actually play and stay active in those games. Outside of that, it’s hard to view it as a pure investment. It makes more sense from a loyalty or ecosystem participation perspective, where you hold it because you’re using the network, not just expecting price appreciation.

The token depends heavily on network activity, so when game usage slows, demand naturally fades. Combined with its past security issues and an unclear move towards becoming a broader chain, Ronin feels like it’s still trying to redefine what it wants to be…

Ronin offers solid technology and strong gaming partnerships, particularly with Axie Infinity and titles like Pixels. The chain performs well for actual gameplay. However, the $RON token has weak value capture and remains in a prolonged downtrend. A near-term rebound looks unlikely. Buy only if you genuinely enjoy the games, not for token appreciation.

Ronin's massive valuation was tethered to Axie Infinity. When Play-to-Earn collapsed, the chain lost its anchor tenant. Add in the legacy of a $620M bridge hack that shattered institutional trust, and big money avoids this chart. With 76% of the supply dumped and a dead $3.4M daily volume, the chart is exhausted.

Ronin is a blockchain purpose-built for gaming and NFTs, famously powering Axie Infinity. While effective in its niche, it faces challenges in overcoming security issues (like its past hack)
