Audius (AUDIO) Review: OG Score & Community Audit

AUDIO made more sense after I stopped looking at the chart and looked at how the platform actually works.                        People can stream music every day without ever touching the token, that's what makes this project different from many people expect, the app can stay busy while token demand stays almost the same because most listeners don't need AUDIO to keep listening.Audius explains the token's role in governance, staking and network security here
                                   
That leaves the token relying on a much smaller group of buyers than the platform itself, unless more features make AUDIO part of the normal user experience, growth in streams won't always show up as growth in token demand.                                                         If that changes, I will probably see the project differently, a growing platform is a good sign, but a token also needs people to keep using it, not just trading it.

Audius is a real tech product with legitimate user utility, highly active developers, and real infrastructure. However, the systemic red flags surrounding its token economy heavily outweigh its product praises.
The tokenomics function as an economic anchor. The $AUDIO token suffers from high inflation built directly into its code to pay out node stakers, creating continuous selling pressure while the platform itself struggles to convert streaming activity into structural, non inflationary buyback pressure.
You are looking at a beautiful music streaming app glued to a structurally toxic asset. The code is upgradeable by a centralized administration proxy, the history is scarred by severe smart contract flaws, and the token has offered little more than catastrophic downside volatility for retail holders. Appreciate the platform as a listener or an artist, but approach the asset with extreme, defensive caution.

Strong music streaming platform but complete disaster for investors, token is 99% down from ATH with no strong sign of recovery, Total supply is 1,42b but max supply is infinite with 7% allocated to community, thousand of active listener on app but project is struggling to even stabilize it's value. Web3 music trend died in 2021 and investor and market moved to AI Token and meme coins, the app itself is not a scam or dead project there still artist and listener using the app but the token is complete opposite. As listed on multiple top tier exchanges there is no risk of reducing liquidity but on Dex trading volume is much lower. Putting money in for long term is extremely risky hype is dead market moved to Ai trend AUDIO has become project without investors, twitter account is active and posting actively but there's no community response and interaction.

Great Concept, Dying Economy. The app works perfectly, but as an investment, the token is structurally bleeding value and lacks market demand. The token price has crashed so bad , and almost nobody outside of die-hard web3 fans uses the platform because Spotify holds all the world's mainstream music. dilutes. also socials feels like a ghost town.. very little update and less engagement, Without a massive influx of mainstream users to drive organic fee volume, holding AUDIO long-term means absorbing endless dilution in a legacy project..

Audius was almost a dream come true back in the days, but it struggles with low mainstream adoption and strong competition from Web2 platforms. While the concept is clear but actual usage remains limited, which weakens demand for the AUDIO. Music streaming is already dominated by well-established Web2 platforms, and Audius has not yet provided enough incentive for users or artists to fully switch. This sits in a position where the product is valid but the market traction is weak, unless adoption improves significantly and by the look of price chart that is a very hard task to happen.

I see $AUDIO holding its own with a persistent energy that stands out. It gives off that battle tested feel compared to flashier but dead projects. The token inflation is a real downside that keeps nibbling, and wallet problems can be annoying. Yet the positive side carries more weight in my view, GitHub and x are still running update frequently 👀

it was good for Audio holders while the hype lasted in 2021. Now that it's long over and there are many competition out there i don't think they can recover from this dip easily

Its ability to directly connect creators with their audience while eliminating intermediaries is innovative, but platform adoption remains skewed towards emerging artists rather than big industry players.
