Walrus (WAL) Review: OG Score & Community Audit

Walrus is one project that emerged from the Sui ecosystem with so much intensity and community build it. So far I can say arguably one of the most fundamentally justified infrastructure tokens launched in the current cycle. Unlike many DePIN projects that sell future promises, Walrus already has a working network, storage nodes, staking mechanics, etc.., and a clearly defined market. Storage is a real-world requirement that every blockchain, AI platform, media application, and decentralized website eventually needs. That alone gives Walrus a stronger foundation than many speculative Layer-1s and AI tokens.   So far Walrus still maintains the default storage layer for Sui ecosystem, the protocol could capture substantial long-term demand. Storage is a brutally competitive industry. Filecoin, Arweave, Storj, and future entrants are all competing for the same market. Superior technology does not automatically guarantee market share. The community and hype needs to follow, the socials looks active no doubt but traction as seen is reducing and that is needed to be regain so this to see actual surge as speculated.

A project that has raised a $140 million runway to generate less than $23,000 in annual fee revenue is a disastrous business model. The market sentiment is completely dead, incentives are non existent, and the massive 37% insider allocation wall means public spot buyers are simply acting as exit liquidity for early venture funders. WAL has strong tech but poor Token development Decentralized storage on sui chain seems a huge breakthrough but there are already many Storage projects, it's developed by same team of Sui block chain which puts strong backing to project and token, Walrus use mathematics from to store large files mean File are stored in blocks. The competition in Decentralized storage is high and adoption is still low people still use Centralized cloud services as google cloud and drive etc, Walrus Supply is much large for a early stage project as 2B already in circulation and 3B yet to released. Early investor and user have much large amount of tokens which creates inflation, directly affecting price Walrus is High tech project but centralized competition is biggest challenge for Walrus.

The token structure introduces persistent supply pressure due to a large circulating base and long-term unlock schedules. While WAL has real utility in storage payments and staking, current demand is still early stage…Right now, people aren’t using it enough yet for the token demand to be strong.

Walrus just undergone a massive unlock. The tech is high-signal and the Grayscale/Coinbase interest is real, but the massive supply hit today is a major hurdle. It’s a project that is actually building, but the next 30 days will be a brutal test of whether the market can absorb the millions of tokens hitting the supply. so for now its a watch and see situaition

With about 2.2B circulating against a 5B max supply, WAL is not a tight-supply asset plus the token has already been hammered. No matter how great the product looks, it is a slow rug from here

I kinda like the vibe here for once. Big serious team behind it, fresh updates rolling in, and you can actually use the thing right now. Sure, the chat around it stays quiet and boring. But compared to 90% of the hype coins that vanish, this one feels alive. Worth keeping an eye on.
