Meteora (MET) Review: OG Score & Community Audit

It's a serious decentralized exchange platform which is built to help other crypto tokens get liquidity like meme coins use it to become trade able, the MET token is available on almost each top tier exchange but there was bad tokenomics problem which contributed in price crash while team tokens were locked for 6 years vesting schedule the 48% of total supply unlocked and released In market at launch cussed immediate selling pressure which had Zero vesting for community allocations.
In 2025 Meteora's CEO ben chow resigned due to accusation tied to the collapse of the LIBRA token which caused major investor losses meteora stated neither Chow nor the platform did anything wrong and hired law firm fenwick and West for an independent investigation co founder of Jupiter (dex) and meteora tweet on incident but comments also accusing him of scamming community.
Also a federal lawsuit which accused chow running pump and dump schemes across several high profile tokens M3M3, LIBRA, MELANIA, ENRON, TRUST allegedly frauding investors of over $57 million using celebrity ties including Melania Trump and Argentina's president while he's not founded guilty yet as case is pending Lawsuit information.
Insiders used a trick called single sided liquidity they put only their own coin into the pool, not paired with real money like USDC this made the pool automatically sell their coins to incoming buyers simply meteora's setup let insiders quietly cash out into stablecoins while regular buyers kept putting money in without insiders ever directly trading with buyers.

Meteora is a backbone project on Solana and even crypto at large. A mature full-stack liquidity layer, It's bad rep comes from being a playground for bad actors with the team being allegedly complicit. But it's a product you can appreciate for the greater good. The token should thrive but it would almost be cyclical as it relies heavily on Meme culture

This project feels radioactive. You can’t separate the code from a founder accused of hard-coding scams into his own contracts. The whole vibe is tainted by insider trading and heavy legal drama. decline in value of tokens linked to well known celebrities on Meteora is way to shady and off for me to overlook I see this as an “insider-driven disaster it’s still listed under a “Seed Tag” on major exchanges, which suggests that significant risks are still very present.

Meteora's tech looks sharp, but the human element is a total mess. You've got the co-founder staring down a class-action lawsuit for alleged pump-and-dumps. On top of that, Trump-linked wallets dumped $4.2 million in $MET right after thw launch. The protocol itself might work, but how can you trust a foundation that's already this shady?
